Can you live into the tension?

  • Jim. Nice post. My two cents would be that transformation of the church will be brought about by that middle group who wants to keep peace, but it is going to the the righteous middle that would define peace as not simply the absence of tension, but peace that allows us to be transformed and not consumed by that tension.
  • I'm with you - tension is needed.

I honestly believe that most people want the tension to be there - they just don't want the mess that results when points of tension collide.

Living with ambiguity is hard. Living with someone who disagrees is even harder. Both are necessary.

Without a clear sign from God on the Truth, what are you going to do?

Hey DC; thanks for your comment. I've not seen your blog b4, but I'll go check it out. peace to you on your journey!
  • I've been struggling with the same. My blog is all over the place because each point of view has both good and bad points.
  • I think you are right about the need for tension. The balance between one extreme or the other. The mystery of God does not fit into tidy little categories and activities. I always think about the prayer intercessor who felt God tell him personally to NOT have insurance on himself and then felt God impress on him to pay for the insurance of a man with a family.

HE is not a tame god
