Yeah I was gonna say that being on a pastoral staff is no guarantee of spiritual support either...it's a question of finding the support you need somewhere outside of the structure of your congregation; whether you are solo or an associate.

I'll take a look at your friend's stuff, that's a neat idea!

I think a big part of being solo is not having someone come alongside you and asking, "How is your spiritual life? Not the church's, but yours." (Although, come to think of it, I bet there are plenty of folks on pastoral teams who are never asked that question!)
