  • Just fyi, Paul Rusesabagina is emphatically *not* an admired individual in Rwanda. They see him as an opportunist running after fame.

    And, while the president is no fan of Christianity -- some Catholic priests were offered refuge to their parishioners and then told their persecutors where they were -- it is still a very Christian country. And Rick Warren's work in Rwanda seems make President Kagame at least somewhat more friendly towards Christianity.

    Beyond that, I think this recognition that the differentiation between the secular and sacred is unwanted and artificial is essential. I would refer you to what Father Stephen has written on Secular Christianity and the one storey universe.
